Activity in polling stations to be filmed at Romania's parliamentary elections
The activity in polling stations at the parliamentary elections will be recorded audio-video after 21:00 when the polling stations close and until all the members leave the units, according to a Government decision approved yesterday.
This is aimed at removing any fraud possibility after the closing of ballot boxes.
The bill also introduces a new type of envelope and a new way to secure the stamps. According to Interior Minister Dragos Tudorache, the envelopes will be transparent, self-sealing and with a unique registration number, to remove suspicions about how the stamps will be closed and secured after 9.
The filming of the activity will be carried out with the tablets that are already in the equipment of polling stations.
