Low cost operator Blue Air will launch direct flights from Bucharest to Israel’s second-biggest city Tel Aviv starting January 12, 2017.

The company will have three flights a week on this route, on Sunday, Monday, and Thursday. The ticket prices will start at EUR 35 per segment, including airport taxes and hand luggage.

With this new route, Blue Air targets Romanian tourists who want to go on pilgrimages to the holy places in Israel, as well as Israeli tourists who want to come to Romania.

Israel became the second source of incoming tourists to Romania in the first seven months of this year, with over 132,000 tourists.
