Tobacco producer sees highest profit in consumer goods market in Romania

Tobacco producer British American Tobacco (Romania) Trading, the company which produces and distributes the Kent and Vogue cigarette brands, posted a turnover of EUR 1.65 billion last year, up by 6% over the previous year.
The company’s profit reached EUR 98 million, up 22% over the previous year. It was the best result in the Romanian consumer goods market, according to local business newspaper Ziarul Financiar.
Coca-Cola HBC Romania, for example, saw a net profit of EUR 53.7 million whereas the beer producer Heineken saw earnings of EUR 24.4 million last year.
