Romanian students win gold, silver and bronze at European marketing competition
Students of the University of Bucharest went on the podium at the 18th Markstrat session of the Intensive Program organized by the DUKENET consortium between April 22 and April 29 in Annecy, France.
During the session, the Bucharest University team won three gold, two silver, and three bronze medals, according to a statement from the university.
The gold medals went to Andra Soiu, Marta Tache, and Cristian Ancuta Corina, while the silver ones, to Anda Ciltan and Alexandra Caloian. Meanwhile, Alina Budean, Nicoleta Mateescu, and Victor Ciuciuc won the bronze medals.
The University of Bucharest team competed with 95 other students in simulating a marketing strategy in English. The students’ English language and IT skills, marketing vocabulary, and the theoretical marketing and management concepts were assessed during the sessions.
The team that represented the University of Bucharest was made of eight students from the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literatures, the Applied Modern Languages department, and the Faculty of Administration.
