Cosmetics and perfumery retailer Sephora has launched this week its online operations in Romania, according to the company.

The retailer currently has a network of 28 stores in Romania. Sephora owns over 600 stores in Europe and about 1,900 at international level.

In Romania, the company opened its first store in April 2007. It posted a turnover of EUR 33 million last year and a net profit of EUR 2.7 million.

The chain was founded in France in 1970. It became part of the luxury group Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton Group in 1997.
