Debenhams expands in Romania with new store to be opened in December
Bulgarian Infinity Group, the franchise partner of British retailer Debenhams, will open in December a 1,800-sqm department store in Plaza Romania shopping center in Bucharest.
This will be Debenhams’ second department store in the local market after the one located in Bucuresti Mall. The new opening confirms the retailer’s continued interest in the region, reads a press statement.
Besides clothing items and accessories, the store will also sell cosmetics in a 190-sqm space dedicated to make-up, skincare, and perfumes.
“The last details of the fashion & beauty winning combination are now set for the clients counting down to the opening day. A team of 45 members is responsible for the work and talent behind. We are really looking forward to bringing Debenhams to Plaza Romania,” said Chris Harper, Sales Director at Infinity Group.
The new store opening is part of the retailer’s plans to grow its international footprint over the next five years by doubling the number of franchise stores and countries. Debenhams currently runs more than 240 stores in 27 countries.
