Enel expects binding offers for Romania assets by end-November

16 October 2014

Italian group Enel expects by the end of November binding offers from companies interested in acquiring its assets in Romania and Slovakia, according to Francesco Starace, the group’s CEO, quoted by Corriere della Sera, reports local Wall-street.ro.

The asset sale in Romania is in a slightly more advanced stage than in Slovakia, Starace said.

He said earlier this month that the State Grid Corporation of China had expressed an interest in the company’s Romanian distribution and generation assets. Enel has committed to selling more than EUR 4 billion worth of assets this year to cut its debt and keep its investment-grade rating.
