Eurovision 2016: Romania to compete in the second semifinal
Romania will compete in the second semifinal of this year’s Eurovision song contest, which will take place on May 12.
The other countries included in the second semifinal are Australia, Ireland, Israel, Latvia, Lithuania, FYR Macedonia, Poland, Switzerland, Serbia, Belarus, Albania, Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, Georgia, Norway, Slovenia, and Ukraine. Romania’s performance will take place in the second half of the semifinal.
The countries to compete in the first semifinal are Armenia, Finland, Greece, Croatia, Moldova, the Netherlands, Russia, San Marino, Hungary, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cyprus, Estonia, Iceland, Malta, Montenegro, the Czech Republic, and Austria.
Eurovision will take place in Stockholm this year. The semifinals will be organized on May 10 and May 12 while the final is scheduled for May 14.
Romania will choose its representative in two shows to be organized on March 4 and March 6. For the first time, only the public will decide the winning song.
Voltaj represented Romania at the 2015 Eurovision with the song All over again / De la capat, ranking 15th in the final organized in Vienna, Austria.
