Romanian IT&C producer Evolio has launched its own range of budget drones, this being a first for a local brand.

The iFly range comprises three models with smart features, namely iFly Micro, iFly Mini, and iFly Pro.

iFly Micro is a micro-drone equipped with a camera, a 6 axis gyro system for steady hovering, and three flying speed steps. It can also be rotated 360 degrees, and it features smart functions such as Return to Pilot and Thrown to Launch. The drone has a small size of 4x4 cm, and can fly at a distance of 30-50 m from the control station. The battery fully charges in 30 minutes. iFly Micro is available in two colors, namely orange and green.

iFly Mini has a built camera and can be used for videos and photos, including selfies. It can rotate to 360 degrees, and it also features smart functions such as Return to Pilot, Throw to Launch, and Headless Mode. The drone is small, with dimensions of 18.5x15.5x4 cm, and can fly in a radius of up to 80 meters, with three modes of speed. The battery allows a flying autonomy of 6-8 minutes.

iFly Pro is a semi-professional drone that can fly in a radius of up to 150 m, with three modes of speed. The 6 axis gyro stabilizer, the altitude control function, and the Return to Pilot or Throw to Launch functions allow a smooth flight. The battery permits a flight of 9-10 minutes.

“Every photo or film enthusiast will appreciate the images taken by a drone. The market is still young in Romania, but I expect a significant increase from year to year. In my opinion, some 10,000 units will be sold in 2016, and we aim to reach a 30% market share,” said Liviu Nistoran CEO and founder Evolio.

The three drones can be purchased for prices between RON 179 (EUR 40) and RON 579 (EUR 129) from partner shops or online from evolioshop.com, starting July 15.
