French President Francois Hollande to pay a visit to Romania soon
French President Francois Hollande will pay a visit to Romania soon. Romanian President Klaus Iohannis made the announcement on August 31, reports local Digi24.
The visit will cover all levels of the relationship between Romania and France, Romanian Ambassador to France Luca Niculescu said at local TV station Digi24. Moreover, considering that the EU summit in Bratislava in approaching, the two leaders will also discuss Brexit and the crisis Europe is facing.
The meetings’ topics will be economic, political and cultural.
French Minister of State for European Affairs Harlem Désir said in June that Francois Hollande would visit Romania on September 12-13.
Romanian Prime Minister Dacian Ciolos made a visit to France in January this year. At that time, Francois Hollande said that he would visit Romania this year.
Ciolos also went to France for the opening match of the Euro 2016 between France and Romania. He had meetings with both President Hollande and Prime Minister Valls.
