Greek developer Helios Phoenix buys industrial park near Bucharest

28 March 2017

Helios Phoenix, Greek developer of industrial parks, acquired the industrial park Millennium Logistic Park located in Popesti-Leordeni, near Bucharest, which includes 11 hectares of land and 12,000 sqm of warehouses.

The project will be renamed Olympian Park East Bucharest, and will be the third industrial park owned by the Greek developer in Romania, after Olympian Park in Brasov and Olympian Park in Timisoara, which are managed by Colliers International.

Millennium Logistic Park is now rented to the companies Sarantis and Autonet.

In total, Helios Phoenix will own 80,000 sqm of warehouse space in Romania. The developer has already started talks to expand the new project Olympian Park East Bucharest.

Romania’s current stock of logistics space amounts to 3 million sqm, and will increase by 500,000 sqm this year, according to Colliers International. This will be the highest rate of deliveries after the economic crisis.
