Greek group wants to invest EUR 15-20 mln in Romanian dairy plant
Greek group Olympus, which owns a local dairy plant in Halchiu, Brasov county, plans to invest EUR 15-20 million in the next two years in the factory, reports local Ziarul Financiar.
The company has invested over EUR 70 million since entering the local market in 1999.
About 60% of the factory’s production is exported whereas 40% is sold on the local market. Before opening the factory in Halchiu, the Olympus group operated a plant in Baraolt, Covasna county.
The Brasov Dairy Milk, the local subsidiary of the Olympus group, posted a turnover of EUR 76 million last year, up 11% over 2014. The company expects a 10% increase in sales this year.
