Romanian tennis player Horia Tecau (left) and his Dutch teammate Jean-Julien Rojer won the doubles’ final of the 2015 Wimbledon tennis championships, on Saturday. Tecau thus became the first Romanian after Ilie Nastase to win at Wimbledon. Ilie Nastase won the Wimbledon together with American Jimmy Connors in 1973.

In this year’s doubles’ final Tecau and Rojer beat British- Australian duo Jamie Murray/John Peers in three sets ended 7-6, 6-4, 6-4.

This is Tecau’s best performance so far. The Romania played three finals at Wimbledon, in 2010, 2011 and 2012, which he lost.

Tecau and Rojer will each get 270 ATP points and a check for EUR 236,000.
