Chinese technology group Huawei yesterday announced the official launch of its new Enterprise Global Service Center (EGSC) in Bucharest, following an investment of over EUR 10 million.

The service center is located in the Globalworth Tower office building and covers 2,000 sqm. It will have four departments, namely technical support, remote deployment, network operations, and support for partners and marketing.

The center serves Huawei clients in 170 countries. At global level, the Chinese group has two other similar centers in China and Mexico, five Regional Centers for Technical Assistance (TAC), seven national TACs and more than 1,100 logistics centers.

Huawei entered the market in Europe in 2000, and since 2003 the company is also present in Romania. The Chinese group is one of the biggest suppliers of equipment and services for telecom operators and companies in Romania. The local subsidiary had sales of over EUR 200 million in 2015.
