IBM to set up innovation center for cognitive technologies in Romania
Romania’s Government and US technology company IBM are close to completing an agreement memorandum for setting up an innovation center for cognitive technologies. The project will be called European and National Romanian Innovation Cognitive Hub (ENRICH).
IBM becomes the first company to develop cognitive computing technologies in Romania. The US company has invested over USD 1 billion in such a platform called Watson.
The ENRICH center aims to increase the national capability in cognitive computing, machine learning, and data science. Cognitive computing is a technology based on Artificial Intelligence and Signal Processing.
