JW Marriott hotel in Bucharest renovates executive floors with EUR 3 mln

The JW Marriott Grand Hotel in Bucharest recently finished remodeling the 7th and 8th floors, following a EUR 3 million investment.

The two floors have 102 executive and grand executive rooms, five suites, the hotel's two presidential suites as well as the executive Lounge.

The project has been prepared by a foreign architect, who has worked on several other projects for the JW Marriott brand in the past, reads a statement of the hotel. The implementation has been done with local and EU resources and materials, by specialized construction teams from Romania, Poland, Slovenia, and Germany.

“Remodeling the top two floors, now executive, concludes the first phase of the renovation plans for our accommodation facilities,” said Fadlallah Zayat, General Manager of JW Marriott Bucharest Grand Hotel.

The executive rooms have a new interior design concept, which combines traditional items, such as ceramics plates with Maramureş motifs framed in a contemporary profile, with eco and user-friendly technologies.

The Executive Lounge, which has also been revamped under this project, is located on the top floor and is divided in six functional areas: buffet, dining, relaxation, library, business center, and a private area. It has a capacity of 58 persons.

The JW Marriott hotel in Bucharest has 402 rooms, 12 meeting rooms (with a total surface of some 2,000 sqm) and 6 different restaurants and lounges. Opened in 2000, the hotel is located close to the Parliament Palace, in a central area of the Romanian capital.

The hotel's owner is Austrian construction group Strabag.
