Lidl inaugurates first charging station for electric cars in Romania
German retailer Lidl inaugurated yesterday a larger store format in Dumbravita, Timis county.
The new shop, which is the company’s 200 unit in Romania, has 1,400 sqm, 200 sqm more than the other Lidl stores.
The retailer has also opened the first charging station for electric cars at the new store and plans to open more, reports local Economica.net.
“Together with the new Lidl headquarters in Bucharest and the logistics office in Lugoj, the execution process of the new store aligns to the trend of sustainable real estate development,” according to a company press release.
The retailer saw a turnover of EUR 1.06 billion last year, up 21.5% compared to 2014.
