McDonald’s Romania ups entry-level salary by 21%
Fast food restaurant chain McDonald’s Romania has increased the starting salary for its employees by 21%, starting April 1.
The gross starting salary thus reached RON 1,450 (EUR 324), plus food vouchers of some EUR 45. Some 2,454 employees within the company will benefit from this increase.
McDonald’s currently has 4,000 employees in Romania. It owns 67 restaurants in 21 cities and has a yearly turnover of over EUR 100 million.
The company has invested almost EUR 157 million in Romania so far. Maltese group Premier Capital took over McDonald’s Romania at the beginning of this year, following a USD 65 million deal.
