No age limit for first time Romanian entrepreneurs to get state aid
Romanians who start their first business will be able to benefit from up to EUR 10,000 financial aid from the state, regardless of their age, starting tomorrow, July 10.
The Governmental program to stimulate microenterprise development, the so called SRL-D, where D stands for debut, was first available for young people, up to 35 years old. The age condition was eliminated, according to Digi24 news station.
The program was launched three years ago and due to its success the Government decided to prolong it until 2020. About 550 people who launched new businesses benefited from this financial. They created more than 10,000 jobs, according to officials.
Financing covers half of the total value of eligible expenditure in the business plan, but no more than EUR 10,000. Applicants need to prove they have the resources to co-finance the business. First time entrepreneurs also get state guarantees for loans and tax facilities for hiring people.
