Orange Romania posted a turnover of EUR 235.5 million in the first three months of the year, up by 6.5% compared to the same period of last year.

The number of its mobile service customers dropped by 168,000, to little over 10 million. The subscribers had a share of 48.2% in the total number of users.

The smartphone sales rose by 30% in the first quarter compared to the same period in 2015. The number of people who own smartphones reached 75% of the total number of users, up from 50% in 2015.

At group level, Orange recorded revenues of EUR 10 billion in the first quarter.
