Germany is Romania’s number one trade partner, and German investors need legal and viable framework conditions so that both they and Romanians can benefit from the existing potential and continue the development, said German President Joachim Gauck during an official visit to Romania.

Justice is capable of providing solutions to the current problems, he added. The National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA) is one of the main pillars of the reform process in Romania.

Germany gets a very important message from Romania, that the country is faithful to Europe, especially during these difficult times, the German president also said.

Over 8,000 companies with German capital are active in Romania.
