Romania increases voucher value for electric cars
Buyers of electric cars will receive vouchers of RON 20,000 (EUR 4,500), and the ones who will buy hybrid cars will benefit from a RON 5,000 (EUR 1,100) subsidy, according to an ordinance the Government approved on August 26.
The vouchers for electric cars will increase from RON 12,000 to RON 20,000. Individuals, companies, and public institutions can benefit from these vouchers.
The ordinance also introduces a RON 5,000 voucher for those who buy hybrid cars that produce less than 50g/km CO2 emissions. The financing comes from the Environment Fund.
