Romanian Government gives EUR 0.74 mln to George Enescu Competition
Romania’s Government has allocated a budget of RON 3.3 million (EUR 741,000) for this year’s edition of the George Enescu International Competition. The event will take place at the Romanian Athenaeum in Bucharest between September 3 and September 25.
The event organizers will use the money to cover the organization costs, the competitors’ accommodation during the contest, their transport from the airport to the hotel, the competition’s awards, rehearsal rooms, accompanists, conductors and orchestra, reports local News.ro. Promotion is done through partnerships.
The George Enescu Competition is organized under the brand of the George Enescu International Festival. Besides promoting competitors and winners, the contest also promotes the music of Romanian composer George Enescu.
