Romanian low-cost airline Blue Air will introduce a new flight connecting the north-west of Romania to the seaside.

Starting April next year, the company will operate flights between Cluj-Napoca and Constanta two times a week. The schedule will be announced in the next period, according to an announcement of the Cluj airport.

The airline will also operate flights from Constanta to Oradea, Timisoara, and Iasi. The tickets will start from RON 89.90 (EUR 20.2) per flight.

Blue Air also operates flights from Iasi to Bucharest and from Cluj-Napoca to Bucharest. Low-cost airlines Wizz Air and Ryanair have started operating domestic flights this year. Ryanair set up its first operational base from Romania in Timisoara. From there, it has daily flights to Bucharest. Wizz Air connects Cluj to Bucharest starting this summer.

Romania has the cheapest domestic flights in Europe after low cost operators have entered this market, which has been dominated for a long time by state-owned airline Tarom.
