Romanian PM says he won’t join any political party or run in elections

Romanian Prime Minister Dacian Ciolos said yesterday evening that he will certainly not join a political party, nor form a party of his own.

He added that he will not run for Parliament, but that he has encouraged his ministers who want to get into politics to continue their projects.

“I really encourage them and other capable, competent young people, willing to change Romania for good, to engage politically, even in these elections,” Ciolos said, reports local News.ro.

The Prime Minister explained that there are projects that the currently Government can’t complete, but he would like to see them finished.

Asked if he were to accept a new appointment as Prime Minister, Ciolos chose not to comment on the possibility.
