Some 11 people in management positions within the Romanian Radio Society as well as current and former members of the radio’s administration board are being prosecuted for abuse of office.

According to the prosecutors investigating them, the defendants allegedly approved service contracts concluded by the public radio that illegally brought them undue economic benefits of about RON 400,000 (EUR 88,500), between 2011 and 2014.

The suspects will be questioned by the Directorate for Investigation of Economic Crime, according to local Mediafax.
