Romanian women’s salaries, 9.1% lower than those of men
Romanian women’s average salaries are 9.1% lower to those of Romanian men.
This is the equivalent of a woman not getting paid for her work between November 27 and the end of the year, according to a research by Expert Market.
In Europe, women have annual salaries that are 16.7% lower than those of men, the equivalent of two months of unpaid work.
The lowest differences between the salaries of women and men are recorded in Slovenia (3.2%), Malta (5.1%), and Poland (6.4%). Romania ranks ninth in Europe, with 9.1%. The highest differences are recorded in Bosnia (46%), Ukraine (41%), and Georgia (34.8%).
