Romania's Government prepares “First Leisure Center” program
Romania’s Government is preparing a new program called the “First Leisure Center”, which will provide guarantees of up to EUR 240,000 for investment loans contracted to set up and develop leisure centers.
“The state will guarantee for investments that are currently considered risky by lending institutions because entrepreneurs are not able to provide sufficient guarantees,” according to the Government.
The guarantees will cover up to 80% of the investments. Lending institutions are thus stimulated to create specific financing products in this segment.
This facility will be destined to small and medium-sized companies in the tourism sector, which aim to develop leisure centers. The Government still has to approve the program before it becomes functional.
