Thieves steal safe with EUR 130,000 from Romanian courier company
A group of unidentified persons broke into the headquarters of a courier company in Timisoara, a city in Western Romania, and managed to steal a safe with RON 600,000 (some EUR 130,000).
The security guard reported the robbery to the Police on Wednesday night, after noticing a broken window.
According to Ionut Bocancea, the spokesman of Timis County Police Inspectorate, the theft took place at the headquarters of Romanian company Fan Courier, reports local News.ro.
“During the night, the police officers were notified that unidentified people broke in and stole a safe containing RON 600,000. A criminal investigation for robbery was opened in this case, the police officers conducting investigations to identify the authors,” said Bocancea.
The Police believe that the thieves knew that there was an important amount of money in the safe.
