Three-quarters of the Romanian firms use social networks for promotion
Almost three-quarters (74%) of the local companies used social media to promote their activity last year, up from 58% in 2014.
About 13% of the respondents said they didn’t use these tools, but planned to employ them, and only 11% said they didn’t use or plan to use social media, according to a study by EY Romania.
Facebook remained the most popular social media platform used by companies for promotion and communication. Some 92% of the local firms that used social media last year were active on Facebook, down by 1 percentage point compared to 2014.
LinkedIn was the second most used social media platform in Romania last year, preferred by 75% of the companies that promote themselves via social media, up by 14pp compared to last year, and Youtube came third, with 37% (up by 8 pp).
