23 January 2017

Untold, Romania’s biggest electronic music festival, has announced the first seven names who open the 2017 lineup. They are Dutch DJs Afrojack and Armin Van Buuren, Swedish DJ duo Axwell and Ingrosso, Belgian/Greek DJ duo Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Dutch DJs Hardwell and Martin Garrix, and American musician Steve Aoki.

Afrojack, Armin van Buuren, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Hardwell, and Martin Garrix also entertained the festival’s large crowd last year.

The 2017 edition of Untold will take place from August 3 to August 7 in Cluj-Napoca, central Romania. The first 11,000 subscriptions for this year’s edition were put up for sale at the end of November 2016, and sold in less than three minutes. A new batch of 10,000 4-day passes will be put up for sale this Friday, January 27, starting 18:00, at the price of RON 385 plus taxes.

Untold, which will reach its third edition this year, won the Best Major Festival title at the 2015 European Festival Awards. It was the first time when a Romanian festival wins such an award.

Last year’s edition brought over 300,000 people to Cluj-Napoca, more than in 2015 when the event attracted 240,000 music fans.
