Two Romanian tourists injured in London terror attack, woman in critical condition after falling into the Thames
Two Romanians were injured in the terror attack on London’s Westminster bridge, near the British Parliament, on Wednesday afternoon.
The two are tourists and were walking on the bridge when the attacker drove his car over the sidewalk.
One of the two Romanian tourists, a woman, was directly hit by the attacker’s car and fell into the Thames. She has multiple fractures and injuries, and is artificially ventilated, according to Dan Mihalache, Romania’s ambassador to the UK quoted by News.ro.
The young man who was with her only has a foot injury.
Five people have died and 40 people have been injured in the terror attack, according to BBC.
After driving on the sidewalk and hitting everyone who was in his way, the attacker crashed his car into the railings outside the Parliament building and then ran to the Parliament, where he was confronted by the Police. He stabbed and killed an unarmed police officer before he was shot dead by armed officers.
