The gap between the urban Romania and the rural Romania is real and no investments have been made to cover this gap, said Hans Klemm, the US ambassador in Romania.

Investments in education and a better business environment can help reduce this gap, he added.

“The Romanian Government has asked me several times to focus our energy to promote US investments in Romania,” said Klemm, reports local Agerpres.

The US ambassador talked yesterday at the launch of Google’s educational program “The Digital Workshop”. The project targets young people and aims to help support the integration of local companies in the digital economy.
