06 February 2017

US pop rock singer and songwriter Jason Mraz will perform for the first time in Romania this year, in a concert set for March 11, in Bucharest.

Known worldwide for such hits as I'm Yours or I Won't Give Up, Mraz will deliver a solo acoustic show, part of a European tour that is taking him to Vilnius, Tallinn, Warsaw, Budapest, Vienna, and Prague.

A two-time Grammy award winner and six-time Grammy award nominee, Mraz began his musical career in the San Diego coffee shops at the beginning of 2000. He released his first studio album, Waiting for My Rocket to Come in 2002. The album included the hit single The Remedy (I Won't Worry).

His second album, Mr. A-Z, was released in 2005, bringing him major commercial success. It went to number 5 on the Billboard 200 and sold over 100,000 copies in the US. His third studio album, the 2008 We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things, debuted at number 3 on the Billboard 200. It included the hit I'm Yours, one of the performer’s best known songs.

A fourth album followed in 2009. It was titled Love Is a Four Letter Word, and peaked at number 2 on the Billboard 200, the artist’s highest-charting album to date. Mraz released his fifth album Yes! In 2014. It was his first acoustic album, and was recorded with folk rock all-girl band Raining Jane.

The Bucharest concert takes place at Sala Radio. Tickets are priced RON 125 (EUR 27), RON 180 (EUR 40) and RON 250 (EUR 55), and can be purchased in the Eventim and Eventbook networks.
