The Romanian shoes and accessories producer Chic Madame will open its first store in City Mall shopping center on Wednesday, the investment being estimated at EUR 25,000. The store, the first such unit for the producer, will be located on the ground floor of the shopping center and will cover an area of ​​67 sqm.

The City Mall shopping center went bankrupt in November 2010, after its owners APN European Retail Trust were unable to repay the loans taken for its construction. City Mall failed to draw bidders in the fifth auction, set for June 30, thus the liquidator, Casa de Insolventa Transilvania, will sell the unit through direct negotiation.

Chic Madame company was founded in December 2003 and produces shoes for women, men and accessories, with both internal distribution in Bucharest, Ploiesti, Brasov, Targu Mures, Miercurea Ciuc, Cluj, Sibiu, Buzau, Focsani, Galati , Braila, Bacau, Iasi, Suceava, and international, to Moldova, Russia and Italy.

City Mall has a total surface of 38,000 square meters and a rentable area of 19,000 square meters. The center includes 80 stores, cafe bar and restaurant areas, as well as a movie theater operated by City Cinema.
