A new Romanian movie called “Hello, how are you?” ('Buna, ce faci?)will be released this spring. The movie will be released on March 4 and is produced by the ABS Film Company. Alexandru Maftei is the film’s director and starring actors - Ionel Mihailescu and Dana Voicu.

The Schengen Area evaluation group has adopted the technical report on Romania’s Schengen accession, people close to the matter told Mediafax newswire. The reports concerning Bulgaria's Schengen Information System and the Supplementary Information Request at the National Entry (SIS/SIRENE) and land movement were not adopted, Schengen Department chief and Romanian Interior Ministry state secretary Marian Tutilescu told Mediafax.

Only 4.2 percent of Romanians with disabilities have a job, which places Romania on the last position in the European Union, according to a report conducted by the "Pentru Voi" ("For You") foundation and the Institute for Public Policies. The report also shows that Romania ranks last but one in the EU regarding the sums allotted for social services supporting people with disabilities.

The ski chairlift ropeway system in the ski slopes area Valea Soarelui and Laptici in Sinaia mountain resort, north of Bucharest, has recently been opened to the public, following EUR 30 million in investments, according to the Ministry of Regional Development and Tourism.

A 49 year-old woman has died Friday in Bucharest from severe bite wounds inflicted by stray dogs. The woman was found badly injured and in hypothermic and hemorrhagic shock Tuesday in the courtyard of the city's sector 5 Public Domain Administration. The building is under conservation and no employees were there and the woman was reportedly attacked by a pack of stray dogs.

The "George Enescu" Festival 2011 has been included in an annual selection of the most prestigious tourist destinations compiled by Austrian magazine Gewinn. Although it’s not actually a ranking, Romania sits on the 16th place as a tourist destination, recommended for the 2011 “George Enescu” Festival.

Romanian authorities want to create bike tracks for touristic purposes across the country. The Regional Development and Tourism Ministry will be in charge with putting together the bike tracks on existing road infrastructure. Bike tracks will also be created in mountain areas.
