Omar Hayssam, convicted of terrorism in Romania, is currently in a Syrian prison, said Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in an interview with daily newspaper "Adevarul," adding the two states will discuss a further course of action once Hayssam has served his sentence. The Syrian President also said that the issue is not political, but judicial.

Romanian migrants in Italy have set up a new political organization, called Europeans for Italy, and hope to run, alone or with other parties, in Italy’s local elections, Italian newspaper La Repubblica reported on Wednesday. The first meeting of the Europeans for Italy movement will take place Saturday in Milan. The organization already has 600 members and has branches in Genoa, Turin and Rome.

Great Britain is the most popular country for Romanians looking for work abroad, according to Tjobs.ro, which shows a growing interest in British job positions, based on their monthly statistics. Out of 65,000 applications on the Tjobs.ro recruitment system, 25 percent were recorded for jobs in the United Kingdom. Uk was followed by Germany, with only 6,500 applications, and Italy.
