Former UniCredit economist will lead Colliers' local research department

Real estate consultancy company Colliers International recruited Romanian economist Mihai Patrulescu to lead its local research department, as head of Strategic Analysis.

He took over this position from Daniela Popescu, who joined the retail department this autumn, as Senior Associate.

Patrulescu has a five-year experience in economic research in the banking system, formerly occupying the position of senior economist at UniCredit Bank.

He has a Master’s degree in international finances from Barcelona Graduate School of Economics, where he analyzed the financial crises of the emergent economies, especially the impact of foreign investments and crediting. He spent a year in Milano in the internal consultancy department of the UniCredit group, during which he worked on implementing the strategic plan of the group, mostly on the projects that involved Italy as pilot.

The local research department at Colliers International was founded in 2009. It makes periodic market reports and various analyses for the company's clients.

Colliers is one of the biggest commercial real estate consultacy firms in the local market alongside CBRE, JLL, Knight Frank Romania, Coldwell Banker, and DTZ Echinox.
