Hochland Romania appoints new general director

Cheese producer Hochland Romania has appointed the German-born Erik Hageleit as new general director starting January 1 this year.

He replaced Sabin Paul Geger, who has managed the company since March last year, according to data published in the Official Gazette.

Erik Hageleit was previously the general director of German cosmetics company Maria Galland, according to his LinkedIn profile. In Romania, he led the operations of the cosmetics producer Beiersdorf (Nivea) between April 2007 and March 2013.

Hochland Romania operates two production units in Sighisoara and Sovata. It is one of the main players on the dairy market, with a turnover of EUR 48.6 million in 2015.

Founded in 1927, Hochland owns ten factories in Germany, France, Romania, Spain, Poland, and Russia.
