03 June 2013

DAY OF WRATH ”The Revelation” - a total show of sound, lights and special effects signed by Bogdan Ota is scheduled to take place on the 14th and the 15th of June, at 8 pm., on the stage of Cinema Patria in Bucharest.

DAY OF WRATH ”The Revelation” was born out of an exceptional artistic vision, built on the amazing intertwining of several arts: music, modern ballet, visual image – videoprojections. The show brings into play a constructive vision upon the biblical concept and associates The Revelation / The Apocalipse with reconciliation, forgiveness, renaissance, salvation, a new beginning, hope and divine reward. The symbolic destruction of mankind`s old principles and values makes possible its reconstruction on new foundations, of justice and equity and The Revelation is the very triggering moment of a stage of spiritual progress.

On the 14th and the 15th of June Bogdan Ota will promote his first album ”Day of Wrath” in Bucharest, together with the Nordic Sonata Orchestra that accompanies the artist on his concerts and performances. The first concert of this national tour took place in Cluj in February, on the stage of the National Opera and gathered overwhelming reactions from the audience (it was sold-out very fast). In March the artist played for the Australian public in Perth, at the Madurah Performing Arts Center, and in July he is expected for the second time in Australia for another three concerts and later in the USA where his fans are excited to attend his shows.

Bogdan Ota is a leading name in contemporary music industry and one of the Romanian artists who had a spectacular evolution in the last years. He graduated from the ”G. Enescu” Art University in Iași and achieved success and had his geniality confirmed while taking part in the ”Norway Got Talent” competition.

In 2012 the artist launched a project of New Age Symphonic called ”Nordic Sonata” on the TV Channel Antena 3 (as a guest artist in the show ”Daily Summary” with Mihai Gâdea) and released his first album called ”Day of Wrath”, produced by Electrecord. The book ”Bogdan Ota and the Piano that Brings Heaven Closer”, written by journalist Constantin Ivanes, known as Sergiu Alex was also officially released in 2012.

The artist`s first labelling as pertaining to New Age Symphonic genre belongs to Constantin Ivanes, the producer for Radio Cluj of a widely appreciated broadcast entitled ”Incursions of a Music Lover”, one of the most notorious Romanian music critics when it comes to New Age Music and an active and highly praised journalist for Music Zone Reporter (USA).

International critics on Bogdan Ota`s music:

“Bogdan Ota is a composer in rarified air. He moves with a musical deftness and understanding of compositional structure that is not often found. Soaring and emotive themes lay down beside quiet passages as if all were of the same water and molded together. Day of Wrath makes one thing very clear: Any discussion about a natural successor to John Williams is incomplete without considering the name of Bogdan Ota” – [Wildy Haskell]

“Some musicians make pop or rock music before ever trying their hand at creating soundtrack compositions. Ota, on the other hand, sounds destined to be a movie music creator“ – [Dan MacIntosh]

Bogdan Ota`s fans, after the concert in Cluj (the 27th of February 2013)

“Thank you, Bogdan, for making me realize tonight that my soul is capable of multiple feelings simultaneously... I was crying and laughing at the same time..., I was upset and angry, happy and motivated, in love and optimistic, forgiving, but above all... happy to live on this earth, proud to be Romanian” (George Dascalu)

“My God, what a concert! Bogdan Alin Ota is incredible... is capable of such a connection that I was speechless the whole evening... I cried, I lived, I sighed between the songs – as if only then was I allowed to breathe... wow...” (Maria Bar)
