(P) The WOMEN IN BUSINESS International Conference– The Female Business Environment Is Changing!

14 October 2013

19 speakers, 5 from the international business environment, an interesting workshop – “Go digital global”, done by Google Poland are serious reasons to attend the Women in Business International Conference. The conference is split into 4 panels on education, personal branding, business development across borders and access to investors’ funds.

The event will take place on Thursday, October 17 2013, at the Howard Johnson Hotel, starting with 8.30.

“I have noticed that, in recent years, the female business environment in Romania and at a global level has developed rapidly. Women have become more visible and active, founded companies, family-run businesses or have become more competitive in the corporate field. In this context, we realized that it is the moment for a Women in Business conference, after 4 years and over 200 business networking events”, declared Alice Botnarenco, entrepreneur, founder and president of the WOMEN IN BUSINESS organization.

„It is clear that the female business environment in Romania is changing for the better, and Women in Business supports that and develops projects which will grow and consolidate our community”, adds Alice Botnarenco.

Rucsandra Hurezeanu, Ivatherm founder, one of the main dermo-cosmetic companies on the Romanian markets, who wants to branch out abroad, is convinced that the best models are closer than we think. „Romania has now lots of women with successful careers. I suggest young women to pursue their dreams from the beginning of their professional life, for big things are built with effort and patience, starting very early. Sometimes you need baby steps, other times extraordinary courage, a big step at the right moment”, says Rucsandra Hurezeanu, one of the event speakers.

The conference comes as a natural evolution of organizing for over 4 years 200 business networking events in the Meet the WOMAN! Project and building a female business community. The event, organized yearly, positioned at a national and international level, will bring a new perspective on such conferences in Romania.

Sergiu Neguț, Angel Investor, board member and CEO for a number of local businesses, the most known being frufru, says that Romanian entrepreneurship has potential.

“I’ll be great someday is what entrepreneurs who look for financing at the 3F say – family, friends and fools – to angel investors and venture capitalists. It is frustrating if you have a business, because you tell the same story dozens of times and most hardly listen to you. If you are an investor you hear dozens of stories till one convinces you. But is there enough time in Romania for stories to be told and listened to? If we do what we have to, we improve ourselves and we invest sensibly, businesses will grow, from subsistence to prosperity”, Sergiu Neguț goes on.

“Running a business means to combine experience and knowledge gathered during your lifetime with intuition, patience and analytic spirit. So the Women in Business Conference is a valuable source of knowledge and inspiration for entrepreneurs and business women to be, the focus of the conference being that women are the driving force of economic prosperity”, points out Carmina Vicol, CEO for Prime Capital, a non-banking financial institution from the Republic of Moldavia, specialized in lending for mortgages and SMEs.

Among the international speakers there are business people from Poland, Switzerland, the Republic of Moldavia, Belgium and Greece. With a fantastic evolution of their career, they launched successful businesses, built strategies for multinational companies, developed businesses at a global level: Agnieszka Hryniewicz-Bieniek, Country Business Development Manager Google, Poland; Max Igor Muller, Managing Director Helvetansa, Switzerland; Karin Maquet, Business consultant dedicated to SMEs, Winner Equiwoman Award 2012, Belgium; Maria Vlachou, CEO & Managing Director Fereikos Gefsis and CEO & Managing Director Fereikos Helix, Greece; Carmina Vicol, CEO Prime Capital, Moldavia.

The Romanian speakers at the event are: Rucsandra Hurezeanu, Ivatherm; Sonia Năstase, Howard Johnson Hotel; Dora Surugiu, Maastricht School of Management; Aliz Kosza, Business Strategist; Petre Nicolae, CBS România; Camelia Șucu, Class Living, Iconic Wine Food&Design; Ioana Mucenic, pastel; Irina Markovits, Image Matters; Paul Olteanu, The Personal Marketing Agency; Doina Cepalis, Te-Rox Prod; Doina Binig, Siveco România; Sergiu Neguț, Maastricht School of Management Rațiu; Virginia Oțel, Garanti Group.
