The medical services packages provided by public hospitals should be differentiated based on each citizen’s contributions to the public health fund (CASS), finance minister Eugen Teodorovici said on Friday, September 14, local Hotnews.ro reported.

This would translate in basic services for citizens who pay low contributions and more complex ones for people with higher income and higher contributions.

“We pay different contributions so it’s normal to have several package options that taxpayers receive, isn’t this a normal approach?” Teodorovici said.
