Real estate consultancy firm JLL Romania has new managing director

Real estate consultancy group JLL has appointed Silviana Badea to take over as Managing Director of its Romanian business, based in Bucharest, starting March 1, 2017.

For the past two years, JLL’s Romanian business has been managed by Andrew Peirson who has also been running JLL’s operations in South Eastern Europe region based out of Belgrade, Serbia. Peirson will continue to manage the region, with Silviana Badea reporting to him in her new role.

Silviana Badea joined JLL at the start of 2015 to lead its capital markets business in Romania. In the last two years, she has spearheaded the expansion and evolution of the team and services offered to clients, with JLL continuing to enjoy the largest market share of capital markets transactions in the country, according to a press release of the company.

JLL had a turnover of EUR 6.8 million in 2015, up from EUR 4.8 million in 2014, according to official data from the Finance Ministry. The results for 2016 haven't been made public yet.

JLL Romania is one of the top real estate consultancy firms in Romania that serve big institutional clients. The competitors on this market segment include Colliers International, CBRE, Coldwell Banker, DTZ Echinox, and BNP Paribas Real Estate.
