Romania records one of the largest decreases in house prices in Q1

House prices fell by 3.3 percent in Romania in the first quarter, when compared to the same period in 2013, this being one of the largest decreases in the European Union, according to data from Eurostat. In the EU, house prices increased by 1 percent year-on-year.

Four countries recorded stronger decreases than Romania: Croatia, Slovenia, Cyprus and Italy.

Compared to the previous quarter, house prices increased by 0.6 percent in Romania in the first three months of this year.
