Romanian electro-IT retailer Flanco Retail has appointed Antonela Ciucasu as marketing director starting this month.

Ciucasu was previously head of marketing & PR manager for Sun Plaza Shopping Center, which is managed by real estate consultancy firm CBRE Romania, for four years.

Before that, she worked in the banking sector, at Royal Bank of Scotland’s local subsidiary, as credit cards marketing manager. She was responsible for creating and implementing the marketing strategy for the bank's credit cards.

Ciucasu also worked in the telecom industry for UPC Romania as Senior Marketing Manager and for telecom group Orange Romania, as Head of Retail Communication.

Flanco Retail is one of the top electro-IT retailers in Romania. It is controlled by local investor Iulian Stanciu. Flanco had sales of EUR 175 million in 2015.
