Romania's IT&C retailer Flanco promotes Violeta Luca CEO
Romanian IT&C retailer Flanco promoted Violeta Luca its CEO, replacing Adrian Olteanu, who became CEO in 2009, after being chief operations officer and deputy CEO of the company. Violeta Luca was previously deputy CEO of Flanco, a position she held for a year. She joined Flanco after leaving Whirlpool, where she had worked for eight years. Her last job there was commercial director, starting 2007.
Olteanu joined Flanco ten years ago and under his leadership, the company exited insolvency in 10 months and turned profitable.
Flanco had an operational profit of EUR 3.5 million in 2011, and a turnover of EUR 110 million. It has 800 employees and runs 43,0000 sqm of stores in Romania. The company is owned by Romanian investor Iulian Stanciu.
