Austrian construction group Strabag has won the contract for building the Mogosoaia overpass, on Bucharest’s ring road.

The overpass goes over national road DN 1A. The contract’s value is RON 32.26 million (EUR 6.94 million), VAT not included, according to sources from the National Road Infrastructure Management Company – CNAIR, local Agerpres reported.

Strabag has six months to design the overpass and two years to build it. The warranty period is 10 years.

The overpass is 112.6 meters long and should ease traffic on the northern section of Bucharest’s ring road. Five bidders competed for this contract.
