The anti-fraud squad shuts down 13 pubs in Bucharest’s Old Town, on fiscal violations

16 February 2015

Some 220 inspectors of the Fiscal Anti-fraud General Division (DGAF) raided the pubs and clubs in Bucharest’s Old Town on Saturday evening, February 14.

They verified 95 locations and found many violations of fiscal regulations. The inspectors sanctioned those violations with fines totaling EUR 95,000 and decided to suspend the activity of 13 units.

The violations found were the failure to issue fiscal receipts and the sale of alcoholic drinks that didn’t have fiscal stamps.

The fiscal authority announced it will continue to check the areas that present high fiscal risks and urged consumers to ask for receipts for all goods and services they acquire.
