Romania recorded over 456,000 real estate deals in the first six months of the year, up by 40,000 compared to the same period in 2015.

About 80,200 real estate properties were sold in June, up 1,000 over previous month. When compared to June 2015, the number of real estate deals went up by 7,000, according to data from the National Cadaster and Real Estate Publicity Agency.

Bucharest recorded over 45,200 real estate transactions in the first half of the year. The Ilfov county saw about 26,000 deals, followed by the Timis county, with over 22,000 transactions.

In June, about 8,400 properties were sold in Bucharest.
