5 to Go becomes largest coffee chain in Romania

07 March 2017

5 To Go, the most popular Romanian franchise in the foodservice industry, reached 40 units, becoming the largest coffee chain in Romania by number of units, reports local Profit.ro.

The most recent cafe was opened in the Dimitrie Leonida area, in the Berceni neighborhood.

The cafe is owned by two entrepreneurs, a lawyer and a window manufacturer. They invested EUR 17,000, including the money paid for the equipment.

With a turnover of EUR 1.2 million for the whole group, 5 To Go recorded 36 cafes at the end of last year. Since the beginning of the year, the network has added four new coffee shops.

“The new 5 To Go was designed as a neighborhood coffee shop. It was opened on the place of a two-room apartment transformed into a commercial space,” said Radu Savopol, 5 To Go co-founder.

Savopol plans to reach 100 units by the end of 2018 and launch two new concepts, namely 5 To Go coffee spot and 5 To Go+ in the next year.
